FAQ

Common questions.

Yes, especially for jib riding. Training at home gives you far more chances to repeat the same movement, so you can work on press timing and body position between mountain days.

It won't replace riding on snow. What it does is keep you working on those movements right through the off-season.

The Complete Set comes with a Board M1 practice snowboard, Bindings M1 and a weighted Balance Bar M1. You choose the M1 Soft or M1 Hard board when you order.

The components are made to work together, so there are no parts to source separately and no compatibility to figure out.

Not exactly. It isn't snow, and it isn't meant to replace time on the mountain.

What it gives you is a way to repeat the movements behind presses and rail tricks. The board flex, the binding response and the size of the Balance Bar were all chosen with that kind of training in mind.

Only the M1 Soft is made for indoor floors. Both boards have smooth sidewalls and no metal edges, so neither will chew up your Balance Bar. Their bases, though, are built for different training environments.

  • M1 Soft: best for indoor training on finished floors. A softer, floor-friendly base designed to add grip and avoid scratching.
  • M1 Hard: best for outdoor setups. A harder, low-friction base that mimics the slick feel of a real snowboard, but it can scratch unprotected indoor floors.

Training indoors on a floor you care about, take the Soft. Setting up outside or on a surface you don't mind marking, take the Hard.

A garage, a basement or a large room can all work. You need enough clear space to get on the setup, practise on the bar and step off comfortably, plus clearance overhead once you're standing on the board.

The Complete Set is built for riders up to 100 kg (220 lb).

There's no age limit, but riders under 16 should train with active adult supervision. See Is it safe for kids? below. The bindings fit sneakers from US kids 2 to US men's 12.

You can, but we don't recommend it indoors. Metal edges can scratch the bar and may catch unexpectedly during use. The practice board in the Complete Set has no metal edges and is made for this setup.

It's for any rider who wants to work on their balance and their jib skills.

That covers riders learning a first boardslide, park riders drilling 360s, and anyone coming back to snowboarding who wants to rebuild confidence before getting on the mountain again.

We built Mute Motion as training equipment, not as a toy.

The board uses real snowboard construction, the bindings hold you securely, and the Balance Bar is weighted so it stays put through repeated use. Every piece comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

No. It also helps with balance, body position and back-foot control. Some riders use it simply to keep their legs active through the off-season.

The setup sits low to the ground, but falls still happen. Clear your training space, start slowly, train on a mat, and wear a helmet as a minimum.

Kids can use the set, but we require active adult supervision for riders under 16. The Safety & Responsible Use guide applies to them too: clear the training space, and a helmet is the minimum protection.

Yes. The Board M1 (Soft or Hard), Bindings M1 and Balance Bar M1 are each sold on their own.

The Complete Set is still the better deal. It costs less than the same three pieces bought separately. Current prices are on each product page.
